5 Hrs training with the BKMA – Open event
Location: Clifton College Sports centre, Gutherie Rd, Bristol – Behind the zoo.
Date: Sunday August the 7th
Timings: 10 am until 3pm
Who: Open event – over 18’s only
We have had numerous requests from people wanting a full training day but who were not eligible or wanting to grade. As a result we have scheduled a training day run along side the grading.
This is not a grading day without a grading but an opportunity to train for 5 hrs and receive top level coaching in the process.
Come train with the wider BKMA community and have a great immersive Krav Maga experience in the process.
British Krav Maga run one of the most comprehensive Krav Maga Instructor Courses outside of the Israeli Defence Forces. The British Krav Maga Licensed Instructor Certification Programme is renown as quality mark professional certification in authentic Israeli Krav Maga.
The next course dates are Saturday the 13th of August until Saturday the 21st of August – 8 Days. The course results in the Junior Instructor Award, the point at which you may begin teaching. To achieve the Full Graduate Instructor level Award candidates complete a 2nd phase of training to develop on existing skills and proceed.
A minimum of 3 years consistent training in a striking system, krav maga, boxing, thai boxing, kickboxing or MMA. Candidates need to be training regularly on 2 occasions or more a week.
Special consideration will be made for existing Kravists who train with British Krav Maga or other larger, credible organisations. Candidates need to be physically fit, able to demonstrate the following basic techniques with skill and efficient bio mechanics:

Phase 1 leads to Junior Instructor certification.
The British Krav Maga Instructor training model is unique. Instructor training is based on a model of small group coaching with post qualification mentorship and support. Instructor Candidates are coached in small groups with a high level of individual tuition over the course.
Instructor development continues on after certification where licensed instructors are provided with business mentoring, a school start up programme, and continued professional development.

Grading with the BKMA
Gradings should not be undertaken lightly. BKMA Gradings are highly physical and require preparation to pass. Candidates should be familiar with all techniques to be tested and able to perform those techniques under pressure.
Candidates must have their Instructors consent to grade.
Candidates must wear appropriate BKMA T shirts
Candidates must have trained twice weekly for at least 4 months between grades P1-P3
Candidates must have trained twice weekly for at least 8 months between grades P4-P9
All candidates will need:
Food and Fluids for up to 5 hours high-intensity training.
Candidates grading at P.3 and above will require
Candidates are required to have the following safety equipment at P.3 or above.
We require all candidates have:
1. Boxing Gloves (12 oz or more)
2. Gum Shield
3. Groin Guard (both genders)
4.Heavy duty shin and instep protectors
We recommend the following:
The Association CAN NOT GRADE candidates without appropriate safety equipment.
